A friend’s picture

here is a picture from a friend of ours, that was in town last weekend.  he is not a photographer, and made this image with a snap and shoot digital camera.  he sent it to me to “work on”.  This relates to post from earlier this week.  I am always happy to work on an image for someone.  The important point is to bring out what you saw when you “made” your photograph.  here is the before and after.  great job mike!  can’t wait to visit NC.

here is the first finished photo in which i added some black and white high pass features, then custom toning work, then finished with some contrast adjustment.
